Waitlist privacy notice

What we collect

When you join the Strategist waitlist we store:

  • your email address;
  • where the signup came from (a utm_source value or the referring site's host);
  • which headline variant you saw on the page;
  • timestamps of your signup, confirmation, and any unsubscribe.

We collect nothing else for the waitlist.

Analytics

We count page views and two events: joining the waitlist (with the headline variant you saw) and confirming your email. Each view records the page, the referring site, your browser and device type, and your rough location (country and city). The analytics run on our own server (openpanel.hireopz.com) and set no cookies. We do not send your email address, your name, or any cookie ID. Your IP address is used to look up your country and city and is not stored.

The analytics are cookieless and self-hosted (OpenPanel). To opt out, press Opt out in the analytics notice on the page; we store that choice in this browser only.

Why we use it

The waitlist is for people aged 16 or older.

We use your email address for one purpose: to tell you when Strategist opens. The legal basis is your consent, given through the double opt-in — your address only counts after you confirm it from the email we send you. You can withdraw consent at any time with the unsubscribe link in any email.

Processors

We use these services to run the waitlist:

  • AWS SES (Amazon Simple Email Service) — sending the confirmation and launch emails.
  • Cloudflare — DNS, email routing, and edge delivery.
  • Hetzner — hosting the website and its database.

Each receives only what it needs to perform that function.

Cookies

The marketing pages set no cookies, including for analytics. The app (app.strategist.sh) uses only the strictly-necessary session cookie after you sign in.

Retention

We keep your waitlist entry until you unsubscribe, or until 30 days after the launch invitations have been sent, whichever comes first. Unsubscribing removes you from every future send.

Your rights

You can unsubscribe from any email, or ask for deletion of your data at [email protected]. You also have the right to access and export your data. You can complain to the Dutch supervisory authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, or to the data protection authority where you live.
